Remuneration:
Level B from $127,947 + 17% superannuation and annual leave loading

Role Overview

Lecturer – Education Focused (Level

B) in the School of Global and Public Law at UNSW Law & Justice.

Responsibilities
  • Convene and teach courses in the Faculty’s LLB, JD and LLM programmes.
  • Possibly undertake the School’s Student Integrity Advisor role.
  • Report to the Head of School, Global and Public Law, with no direct reports aside from casual Teaching Fellows.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in law or a related discipline, with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated capacity to teach effectively at tertiary level, including experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methods.
  • Ability to teach core LLB/JD/LLM courses in at least one of:
    Public Law (Principles of Public Law, Administrative Law, Federal Constitutional Law), Law in the Global Context (public and private international law), or core LLM modules (Global Common Law Systems and Legal Concepts, Research and Writing).
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building and organisational skills and capacity to work collaboratively and contribute to the School’s service and engagement activities.
  • Evidence of capacity to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
