Join AAISA as a Subject Matter Expert specializing in supporting newcomer seniors. This remote position entails updating training materials to better serve the unique needs of immigrant seniors in Canada.
The Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies seeks a knowledgeable SME to enhance the Working with Immigrant Seniors course.

Your role will involve developing and facilitating a workshop tailored for settlement practitioners who assist older adults. You will address critical issues like elder abuse and digital literacy within a culturally informed framework, making it essential to possess a deep understanding of the sector and its dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate interactive professional development workshops

• Update course content with current research and practices

• Design self-paced online learning modules

• Create assessment and evaluation tools for learning

• Assist in developing practical resources for practitioners
Requirements:

• Expertise in settlement services for seniors

• Familiarity with anti-racist and trauma-informed approaches

• Experience in adult education and workshop facilitation

• Strong organizational skills to adhere to timelines

• English fluency;
French skills desirable
