Job Purpose
The QCTO Tutor provides academic support to all the students through planning, research, lecturing and continuous improvement using various teaching methodologies.
Key Performance Areas Facilitate- Plan and facilitate QCTO workshops.
- Lead the group in an informal but structured way.
- Motivate students and encourage participation.
- Manage and support the students studying through the Commerce Edge Academy learning platform, CONNECT.
- Encourage, motivate, coach and mentor students.
- Assess assignments and provide feedback to the students.
- Develop and manage learning material for the relevant programmes.
- Design and deliver effective education/training.
- Liaise with QCTO examination centres, invigilators, and facilitators for the revision workshops.
- Coordinate and present revision workshops.
- Weekend sessions and Webex sessions.
- Attend monthly CESA / QMS meetings.
- Maintain CPD.
- Review the student mechanism report and suggest solutions.
- Conduct mock exams and mark scripts.
- Conduct and analyse surveys on Revision workshops and Tutor satisfaction.
- Present corporate and individual reports – number of projects and assignments marked.
- Attend professional body events as part of the continuous professional development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and identify areas for improvement.
- Devise the event plan with the project team and implement.
- Manage administration tasks effectively.
The QCTO Tutor will work in an academic setting, such as a university, college, or educational institution, and may interact with faculty, staff, and students. The role may involve both in person and remote work arrangements, depending on the organisation’s needs.
RequirementsEducation:
- CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) SAPICS
- CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) SAPICS.
- Added advantages:
An Honours/master’s degree in Procurement and Supply in specific areas such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CILT) or equivalent. - Membership of Professional Bodies (CIPS and CILT).
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in teaching Professional International qualifications.
- Learnership exposure.
Skills:
- Experience in teaching within higher education.
- Strong knowledge of the subject area.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and quality assurance standards.
- Experience in online and blended learning.

- Strong teaching and research abilities.
