Lecturer in Engineering

Our Engineering department delivers specialist provision across a broad range of disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Rail, and Automotive Engineering. Learners can pursue industry‑relevant pathways that reflect the diversity and ambition of the modern engineering sector.

• Teach effectively on a variety of courses and at different levels as agreed with your line manager/Head of School.
• Support learners to achieve successful outcomes and participate in retention and recruitment activities as appropriate.
• Set high expectations for learners and contribute to an environment that encourages all to be aspirational.

All staff must safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, completing required pre‑employment checks before commencing employment. This includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. For roles involving direct interaction with learners, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is mandatory. Teaching qualifications and industrial experience are assessed when determining salary.

Roles are campus‑based to support teaching, learner experience, and service delivery. Postholders may request flexible working, including limited remote work, through the College's Flexible Working Process. Applications must be submitted by the advertised closing date.
