Location: Southern Saskatchewan (Assiniboia)
Online Learning Facilitator (Part‑time, 20 hours bi‑weekly)
Based at Glentworth School, Saskatchewan, this role supports students’ online learning experience as part of the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre (Sask DLC) team.
Primary Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks:
Seek support when needed and advocate for students.
Follow school‑based administrator expectations for creating DLCgo accounts, new applications, course requests, approvals, course selections, drops, etc.
Keep accurate and timely documentation – student records organized and filed (files for students, timelines, assigned/graded work, progress reports, communications, etc.).
May take attendance for each period.
Supporting Learning:
Work collaboratively with online teachers, student support teachers, school‑based administrators, campus principals, or support staff.
Ensure students have necessary resources (Sask DLC materials, textbooks, technology, lab supplies, etc.) as per the Resources page in each course; record and return.
Orient new students to classroom procedures and expectations, login processes, and how online learning works within the school.
Supervise and demonstrate knowledge and application of diverse learning supports to meet student academic needs (clarify directions, read questions/assignments, etc.); direct them to other supports when applicable.
Demonstrate an ability to adapt to the changing needs of students.
Display a willingness to learn new skills and strategies to effectively support students.
Coordinate, organize, and proctor exams.
Supporting Pace and Progress:
Update student pace/progress tool (calendar on whiteboard, Excel document).
Monitor pace, progress, and success (check Moodle logs, grades, conversations with students and teachers, upcoming due dates, use auto‑forwards from Moodle, etc.).
Qualifications
