2 Hour Learning seeks an academic leader who has articulated a clear academic vision and taken full ownership of results. This role requires visible leadership and the ability to translate learning science into tangible outcomes and public credibility.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum, motivational systems, and application design.
- Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results‑driven.
- Analyze data, conduct interviews, and observe practice to produce academic ecosystem reviews that identify high‑impact barriers and recommend concrete interventions.
- Ensure strategic alignment through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serve as the face of 2 Hour Learning in high‑profile settings, from keynote addresses to engagements with Ministries of Education, advancing systemic transformation in global education paradigms.
- Work on isolated curriculum initiatives without generating systemic impact.
- Produce theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Hand off performance accountability to middle management or external consultants.
- Rely on institutional reputation or abstract theory to convince critical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Expand and elevate 2 Hour Learning’s validated academic model by harmonizing execution across school sites, raising leadership standards, and serving as the authoritative public voice of a movement anchored in rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a formal team of staff/employees with hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, and termination responsibilities.
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding performance standards.
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as personalized learning, adaptive learning, or AI agents.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people whose work directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment.
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting.

Compensation and Working ConditionsThis is a full‑time (40 hours per week) independent contractor role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The contract is with Crossover as Contractor of Record. Compensation is $200 USD per hour, equating to $400,000 USD per year (40 hours per week, 50 weeks per year). Payment is made weekly.
