School District 71 is seeking a temporary Online Learning Teacher for Math and Science for the summer session. This role focuses on creating and managing engaging online courses while providing personalized support to each learner. Successful applicants should have experience with asynchronous online teaching and utilizing platforms like D2L / Brightspace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage online learning courses and assessments
• Provide tutorial support and feedback to students online
• Adapt courses based on Individual Education Plans (I.E.P.s)
• Collaborate within teaching teams on curriculum integration
• Maintain professional online teaching standards in BC
Requirements:
• Experience in asynchronous online teaching preferred
• Advanced training in online learning technologies
• Strong skills in course design in D2L / Brightspace
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
• Ability to support diverse learners
