Science Lab Technician - Biology; School Levels & Science

About the Role

As a Technician within the School of A Levels and Science, you will deliver high-quality technical support to teaching and assessment staff, supporting the practical delivery of A Level and BTEC Science.

You will prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and resources, help ensure safe and well‑organised lab environments, and work collaboratively with colleagues. The role may also require flexibility to support activity across campuses and the wider School and College.

All staff employed at Coleg y Cymoedd have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, and all those working at the College are expected to uphold this commitment. As part of our safer recruitment processes, all new starters must successfully complete the required pre‑employment checks prior to commencing employment. This includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

For roles that involve direct interaction with learners, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is also a mandatory requirement.
