Support the delivery of workshops, courses and events at Shakespeare’s Globe, helping create engaging learning experiences across a world-renowned cultural institution.

Shakespeare’s Globe is a world-renowned performing arts venue, cultural attraction and education centre located on the bank of the River Thames in London. We celebrate Shakespeare’s transformative impact on the world by conducting a radical theatrical experiment. Inspired and informed by the unique historic playing conditions of two beautiful iconic theatres, our diverse programme of work harnesses the power of performance, cultivates intellectual curiosity and excites learning to make Shakespeare accessible for all.

The Education Department consists of the Higher Education, Research, Library and Archive, Education Producing, and Learning teams. This Education Administrator will play a key role in the Learning Team, which develops and delivers a wide range of educational programmes for schools, young people and teachers, helping make Shakespeare accessible to learners from diverse backgrounds.

Working with a network of highly skilled Globe Education Practitioners (freelance actors and directors), the team welcomes thousands of students to Shakespeare’s Globe each year through workshops, tours, study programmes and Youth Theatre activities.

Our team is in an exciting phase as we increase the proportion of funded, mission-focused work we do to benefit young people who face barriers to accessing the arts. We are a supportive and collaborative team who are highly motivated by the impact we can have on young people’s lives as we work to bring educational and social opportunities to all, with a focus on those who have the least access to these.
