Lecturer in Quantitative Methods – Fixed Term 1 Year

Join the Department of Quantitative Economics as a Lecturer and contribute to inspiring education in statistics, mathematics, and quantitative methods within an international academic environment.

We aim to help students build the quantitative skills they need to understand and solve complex economic and business challenges.

As a Lecturer you will primarily teach tutorial groups within the School of Business and Economics (SBE) and University College Maastricht (UCM). You will also guide students in statistics, quantitative methods, mathematics, and related subjects.

• A MSc or PhD in a quantitative field; experience in teaching statistics is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to teach courses and topics in statistics, operations management/research, and mathematics.
• The preferred start date is August/September 2026.

• A 12‑month contract (1.0 FTE).
• A gross monthly salary between €3 546,00 and €5 538,00 in scale 10 (Docent 4). Salary is based on full‑time employment of 38 hours per week. 8 % holiday allowance and an 8.3 % year‑end bonus.
• 29 vacation days (based on full‑time), four additional days off (Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day), and the possibility to accrue up to 12 extra days through compensation hours.
