Join The Manchester College as an English Teacher and help shape the future of our learners by delivering high-quality, engaging lessons. You will deliver GCSE English Language lessons to 16–18 learners, many of whom are resitting and need teaching that is structured, motivating, inclusive and ambitious. The right person will bring energy, professional curiosity, and strong classroom practice to support the mastery of reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking skills students need to progress.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking English department that is continually improving its curriculum, assessment approaches, digital learning, and its use of AI‑supported initiatives. We are looking for a teacher who wants to contribute to a culture of high expectations and innovation that is also accompanied by strong support and opportunities for further professional development. If you want to join a high performing team – where progress is measured not only in grades, but also in improved student confidence, resilience, and changed futures – then we’d love to hear from you.

This opportunity is based at our Openshaw Campus to join the Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as an English Teacher on a permanent, full‑time (35 hours per week) basis.
