Position: Online Instructor for Korean Studies
Teach Korea's rich language and culture as a Sessional Instructor for AST 1012 at UPEI, offered online from September to December 2026. Share your expertise in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar with eager students.

The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is seeking a qualified candidate with a master’s or doctoral degree in Korean language, literature, or related fields. This role focuses on delivering engaging lessons through oral drills, written exercises, and presentations tailored for beginners. Native Korean speakers with prior teaching experience are highly desired to enhance the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach AST 1012 Introduction to Korean I course online

• Provide comprehensive instruction in pronunciation and grammar

• Conduct oral drills and written exercises for practice

• Facilitate short oral presentations and readings

• Foster an inclusive learning environment for diverse students

Requirements:

• Doctoral or master’s degree in Korean studies or related field

• Fluency in Korean, with teaching background preferred

• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

• Experience in online teaching environments

• Strong communication and instructional skills
