Faculty Liaison Coordinator
UHI is the United Kingdom’s leading integrated university, bringing together further and higher education across a network of colleges, teaching centres and research institutes. We are looking for a full‑time, permanent Faculty Liaison Coordinator to join the Learning, Teaching and Students team.
Responsibilities- Lead the development, management and engagement with the university’s quality assurance and enhancement policies, processes and activities, including:
- Management of the institutional Quality Framework
- Academic regulations and their consistent application across the university
- Annual review and monitoring
- Programme approval and reapproval
- Driving evidence‑based enhancement (including through NSS and internal student surveys)
- Leadership of strategic enhancement initiatives (including QAA Scotland Enhancement Themes and implementation of the university’s Learning and Teaching and Students Enhancement Strategy)
- Managing and supporting institutional engagement in external quality assurance and reporting activities (e.g. QAA TQER, QS reporting)
- Scheduling and conducting exam boards
- Liaison with external examiners
- Support processes of programme modification, reapproval and subject review for all HE‑level provision, including QS awards.
- Salary: £28,434 to £31,072 per annum (grade 5 on the UHI pay scale).
- Working hours:
35 hours per week; full‑time, permanent. - Workplace pension scheme:
Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). - Leave: 42 days per year (pro rata for part‑time). Leave may be taken at any time of year except the Christmas and New Year closure.
