Job Title: Virtual School Educational Psychologist
Contract: 1 year Fixed-Term (secondments can be considered)
Hours: 37 (part time can be considered)
Salary: Soulbury EP mainscale Point 5-10 £ 53,554 - £63,638 per annum (plus any previous SPAs)
Location: Hereford with some home working

The RoleHerefordshire Virtual School is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic HCPC registered educational psychologist to work within the Virtual School team supporting looked after children and other disadvantaged cohorts.
This varied role involves providing educational psychology advice and support to teachers, social workers and other related professionals in order to improve outcomes for looked after and previously looked after children. This may include direct intervention work with children and young people and responding to both statutory and non-statutory requests for involvement.

About YouHerefordshire Virtual School is committed to the application of educational and psychological research to improve educational outcomes. We seek to promote the use of the best evidence-based practices to help children and young people overcome barriers to educational achievement and to improve social and emotional well-being.
The post holder will contribute to the further development of the Virtual School training programme and to promoting trauma informed and attachment aware practice in schools through our Attachment Research Community (ARC) programme. The successful candidate will benefit from a welcoming and supportive leadership team committed to ongoing training and development and will report directly to the Virtual School Senior Educational Psychologist.
