About the Role

We are looking for several instructors to join our team and deliver remote training programs to adult learners across a variety of subject areas.

This is a great opportunity for people from many different backgrounds and industries. You do not need to have followed a traditional teaching path to be a strong fit. We are interested in people who are good with others, comfortable explaining things clearly, patient, compassionate, and excited to help learners build confidence.

Training will be provided, and our programs are already developed. Instructors are not expected to build courses or create complete lesson plans. Your role is to deliver engaging, supportive training using ReTrain Canada’s established programs, materials, and systems.

Training Areas May Include

Depending on your background and experience, instructors may support training in areas such as:

- Computer basics

- Intermediate and advanced computer skills

- Microsoft Office and Office 365

- Digital workplace tools

- Customer service

- Workplace communication

- Job readiness and employability skills

- Cybersecurity awareness and safe technology practices

- Artificial intelligence and AI-supported workplace tools

- Industry-specific or employment-focused training topics

- Other practical skills that support confidence, independence, and workplace success

Key Responsibilities

As a ReTrain Instructor, you may be responsible for:

- Delivering engaging remote training sessions using ReTrain Canada’s established programs and materials

- Supporting adult learners with patience, encouragement, and practical guidance

- Helping learners build confidence with technology, workplace skills, communication, and employment readiness

- Creating a positive, respectful, and welcoming learning environment

- Explaining concepts clearly and adapting your approach to different learning styles

- Encouraging participation and helping learners feel comfortable asking questions

- Using online learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital resources

- Tracking learner participation, progress, and completion as required

- Communicating with the ReTrain team about learner needs, questions, or concerns

- Bringing energy, professionalism, compassion, and a sense of humour to the learning experience
