Location: Greater London

Job Purpose

To align and support the development of the Family Hub workforce. To co‑develop and oversee a clear programme of workforce development strategies as part of the Family Hub Delivery Plan. To work alongside key Family Hub delivery partners to ensure that the safeguarding of all children is fully embedded across the Family Hub practice system. To oversee the management of robust recording and quality assurance, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform workforce development strategies, plans and reports.

To work within a multi‑disciplinary context, to develop effective working partnerships with other agencies and services involved to ensure professional and practice standards are met. To have a vision about how training can both inform and motivate all individuals and agencies working with children to promote the welfare of children, young people, and families. Enhanced DBS both barred lists will be required.

Travel to various sites, evening and weekend work may be required.

About You
  • Insight and knowledge of the social care sector including the challenges affecting the workforce sector.
  • An understanding of social care, workforce development, skills, employment policy and activity, education teams, including universal and early years.
  • Knowledge of national legislation, policies, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures relevant to this role within a local government environment.
  • Experience of working within multi‑agency partnerships and governance arrangements.
  • Ability to evidence the positive impact of multi‑agency workforce training.
  • Knowledge and understanding of forward planning.
  • Proven ability to commission training, deliver training and advise on safeguarding issues to multi‑agency groups.
  • Able to embed our practice model across the division; driving forward strategies and initiatives connected to the Delivery Plan.
  • Understanding and ability to promote equality of opportunity and anti‑discriminatory practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience of engaging with and influencing multiple, cross‑sector stakeholders to drive collaboration and effect change.
  • Developing, delivering, monitoring, and refining strategies and plans.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to set, communicate and inspire stakeholders to achieve a clear vision.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse and evaluate complex data, leading to clear learning and improvement of practice.
  • Evidence of significant expertise in leading the delivery of complex programmes.
  • Experience of preparing, writing, and presenting business plans, action plans, and other reports as required.
