About the Role

The postholder will play a key role in developing consistent, inclusive and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management and learner engagement, ensuring that strategies are understood, embedded and applied effectively by staff. They will support staff development within the school through coaching, mentoring, professional dialogue and targeted CPD, while also contributing to wider college CPD where alternative provision expertise can strengthen inclusive practice, engagement strategies and support for learners with complex needs.
The role will require strong professional judgement, flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with curriculum teams, support services, schools, local authorities and other partners to secure positive outcomes for learners.
All staff employed at Coleg y Cymoedd have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, and all those working at the College are expected to uphold this commitment.
