Job Description & How to Apply Below
Your bold academic strategy experience and hands‑on approach to learning science make you an ideal candidate. 2 Hour Learning is seeking an academic leader to translate evidence‑based science into scalable programs and to speak publicly about impact.
2 Hour Learning’s model lets students learn at twice the pace in only two hours per day. The role requires aligning execution across varied school environments, elevating academic leadership standards, and serving as the authoritative external voice for the movement.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop academic frameworks that transform learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivational design, and application architecture.
- Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams maintain alignment, accountability, and consistent delivery of results.
- Analyze data, conduct interviews, and perform observations to produce ecosystem assessments that identify critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
- Establish planning rhythms, feedback mechanisms, and milestone tracking that sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Represent 2 Hour Learning in high‑profile forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education.
- Working on isolated curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transferring performance accountability to middle management or external consultants.
- Relying on reputation or abstract theory to convince skeptical audiences.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of academic or EdTech leadership, leading a formal team with hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, and termination authority.
- Proven success driving learning outcomes and upholding student performance standards.
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people.
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting.
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour-per‑week position. Compensation is $200 USD per hour (approximately $400,000 USD per year), paid weekly. Must enter into an independent contractor agreement with the host company.
