  • Facilitate bi-weekly group meetings and parent learning activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and referral agencies.
  • Support families in accessing childcare and community resources.
  • Monitor program outcomes, maintain records, and prepare reports.
  • Represent PIRS at community events and outreach activities.
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Family Studies, Adult Education, Community Development, Settlement Services, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience working with diverse families, including newcomers and refugees.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and supporting staff and/or volunteers.
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops, or group programs.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and school readiness principles.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Additional language skills are considered an asset.
Why Join PIRS?

  • Collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Opportunities for professional development and leadership.
  • A chance to make a lasting impact in immigrant and refugee communities.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position (35 hours/week), dependent on program funding.
  • Combination of office, community, virtual, and home visitation work.
  • Regular travel throughout the service area.
  • Exposure to emotionally complex situations requiring professionalism, sound judgment, and adherence to organizational protocols.
  • Occasional evening and weekend activities.
  • Criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check, is required.
