Join a friendly and creative team that is passionate about engaging under‑represented communities with the wonder of Kew’s collections, science, heritage, horticulture and collections. This role will focus on coordination of the Discovery programme, which provides accessible learning opportunities in the Gardens, and will support increased accessibility to Kew Gardens through the Access Forum.
The successful candidate will be joining the team at an exciting time, with an opportunity to think strategically about the future development of the programme.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and develop the Discovery programme’s learning sessions, ensuring they are accessible and inclusive.
- Manage projects and volunteer teams to deliver nature‑based activities for visitors with access requirements.
- Apply best practice in accessibility and develop informal learning sessions for diverse audiences.
- Work with the Access Forum to enhance visitor access to Kew Gardens.
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience of project management and volunteer management.
- Knowledge of best practice around accessibility and experience of developing informal learning sessions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, flexible working style.
- Ability to work some weekends and occasional evenings.
The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. The role is based at Kew Gardens with the option of regular home working (up to 40 % of working hours) subject to operational requirements.
This is a fixed‑term contract initially, but it may be extended pending confirmation of funding.

Location and Working ConditionsLocation:
Kew Gardens, London. Flexible working up to 40 % remote, with some weekend and occasional evening commitments.
Salary: £34,216 per annum (Band C).
