Salary rangeAs per OECTA Collective Agreement, category placement on the grid will be determined by QECO Category Evaluation and years of recognized certified teaching experience. Teacher salaries will range from $53,726 to $119,940 (Subject to change) - Categories: A1-0 to A4-10
Qualifications- Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- For an applicant to be considered qualified for the position, the applicant shall hold the required qualifications, as per the Education Act and Regulations (as recorded on the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification at the time of this posting), in the subject(s) and division(s) identified in this posting.
- Previous secondary teaching experience preferred
- Teaching experience in a Catholic school system is preferred
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
- A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
- Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques
- Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices
- Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students
Successful external candidates will be required to provide an original Police Record Check - Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) as a condition of employment. The VSC must be dated within 6 months of the date of acceptance of employment.
