Location:

Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff, Salford or London. We operate in a hybrid pattern, combining home working with attendance at the office.

Into Film is the UK’s leading charity for film in education and the community. We provide screen industry careers information and advice, support young filmmakers, and bring the power of moving image storytelling into classroom teaching.

We also run the annual Into Film Festival which enables more than 400,000 pupils to visit the cinema for free, and the Into Film Awards - the UK’s leading showcase for young filmmaking talent.

Role Summary

The Training Coordinator is a member of the Into Film Learning Content Creation team; the team is responsible for the devising, commissioning and delivery of high quality film focused learning opportunities and resources for use in both formal and informal learning settings, including face-to-face and online via webinars and our on demand learning platform. The Training Team sits within this team, and is responsible for Into Film’s CPD (continuing professional development) across the UK.

The main function of the Training Coordinator is to plan, create, deliver and evaluate film-focused materials for our core areas of learning: teaching with film, careers and extracurricular filmmaking. Along with the rest of the team, they also act in an advisory capacity across the organisation on curriculum and pedagogical matters.

Main Responsibilities:

* Devise, create and deliver interesting and exciting training, resources and online interactive learning opportunities, for both educators and young people.

* Act in an advisory and supportive capacity to internal and external writers and practitioners who will also devise, create and deliver the learning content, ensuring a high level of quality assurance is maintained.

* Support the recruitment of project partners such as ITT (initial teacher training) and other notable educational organisations, managing relationships and ensuring scheduled milestones are adhered to.

* Project manage courses, sessions and other learning assets from idea generation to publication and evaluation.

* Create digital content for the learning platform, including gamified interactivity, video content, copy and downloadable assets.

* Evaluate and report on the training programme through creation and analysis of surveys, focus groups and other methods to identify and implement changes.

* Carry out both external and internal training to a range of staff and stakeholders, including supporting internal staff with education advice and information.

* Provide day-to-day administrative support, including responding to training enquiries and processing paperwork relating to the running of the programme.

* Copywriting, consultancy and research for industry journals, research papers and content for the Into Film audience.

General Responsibilities:

* Commitment to quality internally and in all dealings with the public, members, teachers, children and young people, partners, funders, supporters etc.

* Contribute to long term planning to ensure growth in line with demand and resources.

* Contribute to the regular monitoring and evaluation of Into Film's work.
