Gabriel Dumont College is seeking a sessional instructor for an online course addressing Métis educational challenges. You will share insights on historical and present issues affecting Métis students, ensuring a culturally responsive learning environment. This role emphasizes planning, preparation, and effective classroom management during the term from September 1 to December 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging course content on Métis issues
• Manage classroom activities to promote learning
• Evaluate student performance thoroughly and provide feedback
• Implement culturally responsive teaching strategies
• Facilitate student discussions on Métis culture and identity
Requirements:
• Education Doctorate or Ph.D. in Education
• Experience with Saskatchewan curriculum
• Knowledge of current issues in Métis education
• Approval from the University of Regina
• Previous university teaching experience preferred
