Employability Tutor
Permanent role

This is a home-based role so can reside anywhere in the UK

Home based Employability Practitioner Tutor role with some travel to Walsall and Staffordshire for sector meetings once every 2 months - mileage paid or train fayre.

This is mainly dealing with learners online, they are doing apprenticeships for employability practitioner level 4

Duties:

• Deliver engaging structured learning sessions aligned to the Employability Practitioner Tutor apprenticeship standard to students doing an apprenticeship in employability level 4

• Provide one to one coaching online and some in small groups online

• Mentoring and support tailored to learners needs

• Dealing with learners who work mainly as coaches with challenging caseloads careers advisors case workers and IAG advisors who deal with customers with barriers, health problems, complex needs, drug abuse etc

• Prepare learners for end point assessment

• Use a range of digital tools and platforms to deliver blended learning

• Track learner progress set clear targets and maintain records

• Build strong relationships with employers to support workplace development and on the job learning

• Ensure all delivery meets quality compliance and safeguarding expectations

Experience essential for this role:

• Must be able to travel to Walsall and Staffordshire once every 2 months mileage paid

• A recognised teaching assessing or coaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one

• Experience working as an Employability Practitioner or Mentor or Trainer for DWP or apprenticeship experience in apprenticeships for L&D, coaching, or mentoring

• IAG desirable, but not essential at all

Salary and hours:
Salary to £29,000 per annum

• Working Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5pm and Friday 8.45am to 4pm 45 minutes lunch break each day
