Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Administrator to join the Timetabling team within the University’s Academic Registry Directorate. The Academic Registry’s primary function is to oversee and deliver a broad range of services, which support and enhance the University’s academic mission, acting as a key enabler for the delivery of its Education Strategy.

The aim of the University’s Timetabling Team is to provide a comprehensive timetabling service in support of our diverse academic programmes, thereby enhancing the student experience.

As a Timetabling Administrator, you will work in partnership with team colleagues and in collaboration with Faculty Colleagues to assess teaching requirements for programme areas and identify solutions to effectively schedule teaching sessions to produce a high-quality timetable, which meets the approved University timetabling protocol. Through the use of relevant timetabling software, you will produce timetables that promote effective space utilisation and enhance the student experience.

You will:

  • Be responsible for overseeing the timetable build in a specific school(s), whilst also supporting activities across the Timetabling team
  • Have the ability to work independently within a team environment and have a flexible adaptable approach
  • Have with a proven ability to prioritise, organise and deliver a complex workload to strict deadlines is essential.
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft 365 including experience of working with and analysing complex data in a methodical way in Excel. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required
  • Be liaising with various colleagues across the University.

The role is best suited to a methodical individual with meticulous attention to detail and problem solving skills. Experience in successfully managing competing demands from a variety of stakeholders and the ability to analyse and interpret data is paramount.

About the role

For this role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
