This role will require a presence of at least4 days a week teaching at our Ealing and Stratford Campuses*, with1 day working from home to suit the student timetable. You maybe required to be on campus5 days a weekin some cases,based on teaching and meeting requirements. Our hybrid working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit which could changes at any point during your employment,so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

Our School of Psychology, within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology, is dedicated to delivering outstanding, applied psychology education. Our collaborative and diverse academic community brings together experienced academics, practitioner psychologists, and industry professionals who are passionate about equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to thrive in a wide range of psychology-related careers and professional settings.

We are seeking Lecturers in Psychology to join our Blended Learning Team to work in the role of Lecturer.

• Lead and develop modules, ensuring high-quality learning materials and curriculum development.
• Design excellent digital teaching material ensuring that content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives.
• Undertake assessment marking, design authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
• Manage your own teaching and student success activities and reflect on practice and development of skills, with support/guidance as needed.
• Support student success as a named Personal Academic Coach (PAC) to a defined caseload of students, building proactive relationships and providing personalised academic coaching that promotes engagement, progression, achievement and successful completion.
• Deliver excellent teaching, learning and dissertation supervision.
• Undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities.
• Actively contribute to School level activity, such as participation in wider citizenship roles such a reviewing ethics applications and supporting research methods workshops.

* You will be based at either Ealing or Stratford, but will need to travel to both locations on a weekly basis.

** You will be required to work on campus 4 days a week to meet the student timetable.

To be successful as a Lecturer in Psychology, you will need:

• An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology, with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
• Experience in teaching, learning, assessment, dissertation supervision, and pastoral care practices in Higher Education.
• A track record of successfully contributing to programme teams and being an inspiring and creative lecturer.
• Excellent data analysis and evaluation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months.
• We encourage applications from those with experience in teaching across the required BPS curriculum and with research specialisms in common psychology topics, such as forensic, cyberpsychology, counselling, clinical, and so on.

• A PhD (or close to completion) in Psychology or a closely related subject.
• Expertise in, or a willingness to develop, high quality, pro-active academic student support practices within higher education.
