Role DescriptionThis is a part-time hybrid role for a Music Teacher based in Jabodetabek, with a mix of on-site instruction and some work-from-home preparation and online teaching. The Music Teacher will deliver individual and group lessons, focusing on foundational and advanced music theory, instrumental technique, and musical expression. Daily tasks include planning lesson materials, assessing student progress, providing structured feedback, and preparing students for recitals and examinations.
The role also involves collaborating with other educators on curriculum development, maintaining clear communication with students and families, and supporting ensemble rehearsals as needed. The Music Teacher is expected to uphold professional teaching standards, create an inclusive learning environment, and contribute to the organization’s educational and performance goals.
- Strong knowledge of Music Theory and general Music concepts, with the ability to explain them clearly to learners of varying levels.
- Demonstrated Music Performance skills, preferably with experience in solo and ensemble settings.
- Background in Music Education, including lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment of student progress.
- Relevant formal education in Music or Music Education (diploma, degree, or equivalent training) is preferred.
- Experience teaching children and/or adults in a structured music program, with inclusive and supportive teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage families.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting, manage time effectively, and use basic digital tools for lesson preparation and online teaching.
