Part-Time Certified Education Assistant (CEA)

ASCEND Online is an online learning school operated by the Catholic Independent Schools of the Kamloops Diocese. The school enrolls approximately 700 students from Kindergarten to Grade Twelve supported by teachers and support staff from across the province of British Columbia.

ASCEND Online is seeking applications for a part-time CEA (12 hours per week) for the  school year for their blended learning classroom located in Surrey (within St. John Paul II Academy), commencing September 1, 2026.

The CEA is a member of the school educational support team. The CEA is responsible for individual student support and program assistance under the direction of the classroom teacher. As a Catholic Independent School, the teachings of the Catholic faith are integrated into every aspect of the school, and therefore, candidates who actively practice their faith are highly valued

Key details of the position are as follows:

• 2 days/week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-2pm
• Supporting in a classroom setting with a teacher of K-7 students. Offer class support and one-on- one support as needed/directed by the teacher.
