The Role:

Join No Limits, where every day is an adventure! You'll work term-time only (35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year) , Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM. Plus, you'll take part in up to three weeks of training and development during school holidays. This is a community-based role, where you'll deliver personalised education programs to post-16 learners with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

You'll support them in developing essential life skills such as:
Using public transport, ICT skills, Cooking and independent living. Money management. You may also accompany them to work experience or college. Every day brings new challenges and rewarding experiences as you empower young people to build confidence and independence. No Limits identified her communication barriers and used technology to help her make choices, regulate emotions, and structure her day. Harriet started using her communication device more regularly, such as ordering food at a café. No Limits introduced additional techniques to enhance her communication.

Harriet now attends college with Mac Intyre, where her confidence and engagement are steadily improving. Our team builds positive relationships, breaks down barriers, and boosts students self-esteem. * name changed for privacy IND What we need from you Perhaps you've worked in special education, as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant. Perhaps you've been a Support Worker in the social care sector. However, experience is not essential. For us, underlying ability and attitude are just as important as background and experience. If you have not worked in the field of education before then please don't be put off.

We can provide all of the specialist training you need, but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient; and those are essential qualities for this work. You must be a driver with your own transport , willing and able to travel across the area, supporting young people from their own homes. Reasonable mileage is reimbursed.

GCSEs (or equivalent) minimum C grade in English and Mathematics are essential.
