Join a Trailblazing Team at Keele University – Shaping the Future of Healthcare Education
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is proud to unveil its newly redeveloped, multi-million-pound Healthcare Simulation Centre—a state-of-the-art facility designed to revolutionise clinical education. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become part of a passionate team of simulation and clinical skills educators, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our simulation and clinical skills teaching team. We would particularly welcome applicants with an Allied Health Profession background or have experience of working closely with these professions.
You will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and evaluating immersive learning experiences across Nursing and Allied Health programmes, including simulated clinical placements that meet professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) standards.
This role offers the chance to:
- Lead transformative educational experiences using advanced simulation pedagogy.
- Collaborate across disciplines within our Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health Professions, and Pharmaceuticals.
- Work in cutting-edge facilities, including simulated wards, consultation rooms, a CT scanner, community simulation suites (Health House and Health Bungalow), training ambulances, 3D virtual reality environments and much more!
- Engage with NHS partners, including UHNM—one of the UK’s largest acute hospitals—where Keele has invested in a high-fidelity emergency department simulation suite.
- Support income generation, using our extensive facilities to provide training courses externally.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A strong foundation in clinical teaching and student supervision.
- Experience in simulation-based education and a passion for innovation.
- The ability to work flexibly across professional boundaries and contribute to a collaborative, interdisciplinary teaching environment.
