About

The Role

We are seeking a Business Management Lecturer to join our Higher Education team, delivering high-quality teaching across our BA (Hons) Business Management programmes, including Foundation Year provision.

This is a teaching-focused role centred on classroom delivery, assessment marking and student support. You will help students develop their understanding of contemporary management, leadership, entrepreneurship, operations, finance and digital business practices.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across Higher Education Business Management programmes using approved module content and learning materials
  • Teach subjects including management, leadership, entrepreneurship, operations, finance, sustainability and digital business
  • Mark assessments in accordance with established briefs, learning outcomes, marking criteria and academic regulations
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support students' academic development
  • Create an inclusive and interactive learning environment that encourages participation and critical thinking
  • Monitor student progress, attendance and engagement, providing appropriate academic guidance and support
  • Support students to develop their academic skills, employability and progression
  • Identify recurring learning needs and share feedback with module and programme leaders
Requirements What we're looking for Essential
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship or a related discipline
  • Teaching experience within a Higher Education environment
  • Experience marking academic assessments and providing constructive feedback
  • Subject knowledge in relevant areas of Business Management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and with differing academic needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an academic team
Desirable
  • Master's degree or MBA in Business Management or a related discipline
  • PGCert in Higher Education, Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or equivalent professional recognition
  • Experience teaching leadership, operations management, entrepreneurship, digital business, sustainability or finance
  • Relevant industry experience in business, management, operations, leadership or entrepreneurship
  • Understanding of digital transformation, AI applications in business and emerging technologies
  • Experience supervising student projects, dissertations or work-based learning
  • Experience supporting widening-participation student cohorts
