Online EFL Teacher

Job Summary

TLC teachers specialize in offering an academic English language enrichment program to non-native speakers between the ages of 6 and 18. We teach online to our students in the Paris region and surrounding suburbs. Our schedules are planned and fixed for the entire academic year, from September to June/July. Depending on specialism, experience and teachers availability, we offer between 10 to 20 hours a week of classes per teacher.

Our classes take place mostly between 16:00-21:00 French time every evening, with all-day Wednesday and Saturday possibilities. Our students are extremely motivated and committed to learning English to a high standard of proficiency. At TLC, we place great importance on pronunciation and reading. All teachers are expected to incorporate phonetics in every class they teach. We provide all the necessary pedagogy and training for our different programs, as well as support for class delivery.

For teachers who are looking for career opportunities, TLC has put in place a career development path with full-time opportunities. All teachers are expected to teach their classes until July 3rd.

• Interviews will be conducted at the end of July 2026.
• Training begins mid-August 2026.
• Teaching begins Saturday 12th September 2026.
• All teachers are expected to do online Orientation beginning August 2026.
• All teachers are expected to attend 2 hours of live online meetings and 34 hours of training before teaching.

• Excellent English pronunciation.
• Stable work environment and provide proof of address.
• Please note that we can only consider candidates based in Europe or in a time zone close to Paris.

• University degree (preferably Education).
• Teachers will need to be TEFL or CELTA qualified.
• DELTA qualification is desirable.
• Teachers with experience of ESOL exams are desirable.
• French will be appreciated.

From €16 / hour (net) £14 / $18

At TLC Online, our teachers will have to provide an invoice as freelance teachers.

There are criteria in place for teachers to become Level 1 and Level 2 teachers after 300 contact hours teaching at TLC.
