Rugby Canada is posting this Expression of Interest (EOI) to establish a qualified talent pool for Analyst assignments with the national program.

  • Multiple appointments may be made at different times during the year to support training camps, competition windows (e.g., PAC4, PNC, Age-Grade), tours, and centralized preparation blocks.
  • Assignments may vary in duration and scope (e.g., camp‑based, tour‑based, part‑time blocks) and may be concurrent with other Rugby Canada programs where appropriate under our One Squad philosophy.
  • Candidates may be contacted as opportunities arise; being in the talent pool does not guarantee an assignment.
How the EOI Pool Works
  • Review Window:
    Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Talent Pool Duration:
    The pool may be used for up to 12 months from posting (or until closed).
  • Next Steps:
    Selected candidates may be invited to an interview, reference check, and/or skills task.
  • Placement:
    Assignments are made based on program needs, availability, fit, and expertise.
Role Purpose

Working closely with the RC Analyst the Analyst supports the technical, tactical, and cultural delivery of the national program, with a primary focus on performance analysis and individual player development.

Key Contribution Areas (Scope may vary by assignment)
  • Filming and coding of training camps, competition windows and centralized preparation blocks.
  • Provide video and statistical performance analysis across team and individual levels.
  • Contribute to the identification and monitoring of national program athletes and competitions.
  • Model Rugby Canada’s values and help sustain a high‑performance, player‑centered environment.
  • Travel for camps, competitions, and tours as required.
  • Remote work for camps, competitions, and tours as required.
Required Equipment
  • Mac Book Pro running macOS 26 (Tahoe) or macOS 15 (Sequoia) (recommended 16GB Universal Memory, 512GB hard drive storage or more)
Desirable Experience
  • Performance analysis software and hardware, including Hudl, Sports code, Excel, Power BI and video capture systems.
  • Video camera equipment, capturing, exporting and uploading footage.
  • Rugby Union and Rugby 7s knowledge
  • Ability to work within an integrated performance team (coaches, S&C, medical, performance analyst).
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Ability to drive is an asset.
Participation is subject to Rugby Canada’s Safe Sport standards, including:
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (or international equivalent);
  • Completion of mandatory Safe Sport and Respect in Sport (or equivalents);
  • Agreement to Rugby Canada’s Code of Conduct and policies.
