About the Role

Our client is seeking an insightful and dedicated Remote Child Development Specialist to provide expert guidance and support to families and early childhood professionals virtually. This role focuses on understanding and promoting optimal child development across various stages, from infancy through early adolescence. You will conduct virtual consultations, develop educational resources, and offer support for addressing developmental challenges. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a child-focused organization, using digital tools to impact child well-being and learning outcomes across geographical boundaries, working from a remote location near Polokwane .

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual developmental assessments and consultations for children and families.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and training materials on child development topics for parents and educators.
  • Provide guidance on age-appropriate activities, behavior management, and learning strategies.
  • Create evidence-based resources and articles on child development for online dissemination.
  • Collaborate with other specialists and organizations to support holistic child development.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in child development and early learning.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Child Development, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in child development, early childhood education, or a clinical setting working with children.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and provide consultations remotely.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth and digital collaboration tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to child development issues.
