Online Part-Time Jr/Sr High Teacher (approximately 0.25-0.4 fte)
Yellowhead Christian School (YCS@Home)
Yellowhead Christian School (YCS) is seeking an Online Part-Time Jr/Sr High Teacher to start immediately for the 2026/2027 school year with the possibility of extending for future years. This position includes online teaching core classes at the grade 7-10 level to small 4-8 person groups. These assignments can be one position or separated into two assignments. Our online program (YCS@Home) is an online program open to students in Grades 7-12.
YCS is committed to cultivating the faith of students so that they will be able to live in the fullness of life before God according to His will for them. We are based Edson, AB, 200 km West of Edmonton and an hour from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. This position can be remote. CharacteristicsA vibrant Christian faith.
Experience with online learning an asset.
Clearly defined and well thought out assessment beliefs.
Have strong, positive interpersonal skills.
Teach students using lessons, discussions and audio-visual presentations.
Design effective strategies to meet the children's diverse learning needs.
Effective communication skills.
Qualifications:
Have a Bachelor of Education degree
Hold (or be eligible for) a valid Alberta teaching certificate
Have a passion for Christian Education Bible College education or successful experience in youth work is valuable.
Applicants must be Canadian citizens or be currently eligible to work and teach in Canada.
