The IB Programme Coordinator provides instructional coordination and administrative management for Pamoja. At present, the role will work in the DP phase of the IB, but this may expand to MYP/PYP in the future. Therefore, the IB Programme Coordinator is responsible for the effective implementation and day-to-day operation of the DP in alignment with IB Standards and Practices, ensuring compliance with school policies and supporting consistent, high-quality teaching and learning.
The candidate will be expected to carry out responsibilities under the following areas of the position of IB Programme Coordinator. A fuller job description will be provided for shortlisted candidates.
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Education or a related field.
- Qualified teacher status (or equivalent teaching certification).
- Experience teaching within the IB Diploma Programme.
- Prior experience as a DP Coordinator or in a curriculum management role.
- Strong understanding of IB philosophy, Standards and Practices, and assessment procedures.
- Proven ability to lead teams, implement change, and manage complex administrative processes.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools such as Canvas, Microsoft 365 and data tracking systems.
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership presence.
- Collaborative, empathetic, and approachable.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage competing demands effectively.
- Committed to continuous professional growth and to the IB mission of developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people.
This role is open to UK-based applicants and is subject to three satisfactory references, right-to-work in the UK and Enhanced DBS checks.
