We are ideally looking for academics who may wish to work the standard model of Monday-Friday in the day-time, and those who may be interested in a more flexible teaching timetable which may include evenings:
Tuesday-Thursday and Friday evening and Saturday day-time classes.

This role will require a presence of at least 3-4 days a week on our Holborn or Stratford, London campus, with 1 day working from home to suit the student timetable. You may be required to be on campus 5 days a week in some cases, based on teaching and meeting requirements. Our hybrid working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit which could changes at any point during your employment, so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

Our Foundation Degrees School teaches a number of programmes that are designed to provide a vocational and work-based learning experience, tailored to meet the needs of widening participation (WP) and disadvantaged student groups. The Foundation Degrees aim to bridge the gap between education and employment, equipping students with practical skills and real-world experience. We are currently looking for a Lecturer to join the newly established School of Foundation Degrees to support with the delivery of our Computing Foundation Degree. Teaching may be a maximum of 16-20 hours per week, academic support including office hours and tutorials and facilitating the cover rota in campus. You will also be supporting module development in the first 2 years of your role and there may be opportunities to be a Module Leader.

Responsibilities within our academic programmes include:

• Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures both face-to-face and online for our blended and distance learning students.
• Act as a Personal Academic Coach (PAC), supporting students' engagement, progression and academic success.
• Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
• Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
• Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
• Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment.
