About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Online Curriculum Developer to create engaging and effective educational content for a remote-first learning platform based out of Cape Town . This role involves designing, developing, and updating digital learning materials across various subjects and grade levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and pedagogical best practices. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to produce high-quality, accessible, and interactive learning experiences for a global student audience.

• Design and develop comprehensive online course content, including lesson plans, assessments, interactive activities, and multimedia resources.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and pedagogical soundness of the curriculum.
• Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools to build and deploy online courses effectively.
• Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of existing online curriculum to incorporate feedback and improve learning outcomes.
• Ensure all developed content adheres to accessibility standards and universal design for learning principles.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in online education and instructional design.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in designing and developing online learning materials and courses.
• Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
