1. ROLE PURPOSE
The Assistant Director – CDOE (Online Education) shall be responsible for the effective academic, operational and regulatory coordination of  Online Degree Programmes  offered by the University.
The position will focus exclusively on the  Online Learning vertical  and shall ensure smooth delivery of online programmes, academic quality, learner engagement, LMS operations, examinations, e-content development and compliance with applicable UGC regulations and University policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Online Programme Management
Coordinate the day-to-day academic and operational functioning of all Online Degree Programmes.
Coordinate with concerned Faculties/Schools, Programme Coordinators, faculty members and CDOE teams.
Ensure implementation of the approved academic calendar for each online programme.
Monitor commencement and completion of courses as per the prescribed schedule.
Ensure timely conduct of live/interactive sessions, academic activities, assessments and examinations.
Maintain programme-wise academic and operational trackers.
Identify delays, deviations and operational gaps and ensure timely corrective action.
B. LMS & Digital Academic Delivery
Ensure that all online courses are properly created, mapped and activated on the Learning Management System (LMS).
Monitor uploading and availability of e-content, e-text, recorded lectures, presentations, reading material, assignments, quizzes and other learning resources.
Ensure that students have timely access to courses and learning resources.
Coordinate with the LMS/Data Management and technical teams for resolution of academic and student-related LMS issues.
Monitor faculty activity, student participation and course progress through LMS reports and analytics.
Ensure maintenance of appropriate digital records and evidence.
C. E-Content & Four-Quadrant Compliance
Coordinate development and timely completion of online course content.
Ensure academic content follows the prescribed  Four-Quadrant Approach , wherever applicable:
E-Tutorial/Video Content
E-Content/Reading Material
Discussion Forum/Interactive Activities
Self-Assessment/Assessment
Coordinate with faculty, content development teams, instructional designers and production teams.
Monitor content quality, completeness and academic relevance before deployment.
Ensure periodic review and updating of online course content.
D. Faculty & Academic Coordination
Coordinate with Deans/HODs/Programme Coordinators for allocation of faculty for online courses.
Ensure faculty orientation regarding LMS usage and online teaching methodology.
Monitor adherence of faculty members to online teaching schedules.
Track completion of lectures, assessments, content uploads and evaluation.
Facilitate faculty training in online pedagogy, digital content creation and learner engagement.
Maintain faculty-wise and course-wise academic performance records.
E. Online Student Lifecycle Management
Coordinate and monitor the complete academic lifecycle of online learners, including:
Student onboarding and orientation
LMS activation
Course registration
Academic communication
Live class schedules
Access to learning material
Internal assessments
Examination coordination
Result-related coordination
Academic grievance resolution
Progression and completion
Ensure student queries are addressed within prescribed turnaround times.
F. Learner Engagement & Support
Monitor learner participation and engagement in online programmes.
