Part-time English Language Instructor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Part-time English Language Instructor to join their team in Durban . This role involves delivering engaging English language lessons to diverse groups of learners, including non-native speakers and individuals seeking to improve their professional communication skills. You will have the opportunity to work both in-person and remotely, offering flexibility in your teaching delivery. The ideal candidate is passionate about language education, possesses excellent communication skills, and can adapt their teaching style to meet the varied needs of adult learners, fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for language acquisition.

• Teach English as a Second Language (ESL) and general English courses to adult learners.
• Develop and implement communicative lesson plans that focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Create a positive and interactive learning environment, both in physical classrooms and during online sessions .
• Provide constructive feedback on student progress and assign relevant homework.
• Administer and grade language proficiency assessments and placement tests.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience teaching English to adults, preferably in a blended learning setting.
• Excellent command of the English language and strong grammatical knowledge.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote instruction .
