About the Role
Our client is seeking an inspiring and visionary Head of Arts and Culture Department to lead creative expression and learning within their institution in Sandton . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the arts curriculum, including visual arts, music, drama, and dance, fostering a vibrant and dynamic creative environment. You will mentor arts educators, develop innovative programs, and champion the importance of arts education in holistic student development.

- Lead, manage, and inspire the Arts and Culture department staff, fostering a collaborative and creative atmosphere.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative arts curriculum across various disciplines.
- Oversee the organization and execution of school plays, art exhibitions, musical performances, and cultural events.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and facilities to support arts education effectively.
- Promote student engagement and participation in a wide range of artistic activities.
- Liaise with external arts organizations, artists, and community partners to enrich student experiences.
- A Master's degree in Fine Arts, Music, Drama, Arts Administration, or a related creative field.
- A recognized teaching qualification and significant experience in arts education leadership.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in teaching and managing arts programs at a high level.
- Proven ability to develop and execute dynamic arts curricula and events.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of diverse artistic disciplines and cultural expressions.
