As this may be a term position, current indeterminate Government of Nunavut employees may be offered a competitive transfer assignment for the duration of the term if they are deemed to be the successful candidate, however this is subject to managerial approval. Reporting to the Senior Instructor, Academic Studies, the Instructor, Academic Studies is responsible for delivering a variety of courses offered through the Academic Studies section at Nunatta Campus using a range of instructional approaches and adult education principles. The position works collaboratively with other instructors to ensure course delivery meets Nunavut Arctic College policies and standards while supporting learners in developing the knowledge and skills required for further post-secondary education and entry-level employment.

Courses may be delivered within the Office Administration, Adult Basic Education, Essential Skills, College Foundation and other Academic Studies programs.
