Job Title: Skills and Development Coach – Employability

Operational Team: Apprenticeships and Commercial

Location: Working from home, with travel within an 80-mile radius

Reports To: Delivery Manager

Accountable To: Head of Apprenticeships and Commercial

Liaises With: Delivery managers, Curriculum leads, Head of Quality, Quality Assurance Leads, Head of Business Development, delivery teams, claims and compliance, finance, and centre admin.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hrs a week

Salary: Band A to C - £31,500 to - £42,500 subject to previously achieved Assessor / Teaching qualifications.

As a Skills and Development Coach (Employability), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching, teaching, and assessment across the Level 4 Employability Practitioner Apprenticeship programme and other apprenticeship programmes relevant to your occupational background. You will tailor delivery to meet customer requirements and achieve positive outcomes for learners.

We are seeking a Supported Employment Specialist to coach, mentor and develop colleagues delivering employment support programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for building practitioner confidence and capability, sharing best practice, supporting quality improvement and ensuring Supported Employment approaches are embedded across our provision.
You will model Dynamic’s values and inclusive behaviours while guiding each learner through a personalised journey, recognising prior learning, building knowledge and competence, and preparing them for successful, timely programme and End Point Assessment completion. Your work includes curriculum design, planning learning, delivering sessions, assessing performance, giving constructive feedback, and closely tracking progress so learners develop the skills needed to progress into future responsibilities in the employability sector.

Please note: This role is specifically for an experienced Supported Employment specialist who can train, coach and develop other professionals in Supported Employment practice. We are seeking candidates with significant knowledge of Supported Employment methodologies and experience of embedding best practice within teams. This is not a standard Employability Coach role.

Learner Support, Coaching and Delivery

• Deliver high-quality coaching, teaching and assessment for the Employability Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship and other relevant programmes aligned to your occupational expertise.
• Support learners through a structured onboarding process, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment.
• Develop, implement and review individual learning plans and off-the-job training plans, ensuring they are completed on time and reviewed at least quarterly.
• Deliver engaging, informative and challenging learning experiences that meet programme requirements and employer needs.
• Motivate, coach and support learners to achieve timely completion and positive outcomes through effective programme planning and regular engagement.
• Embed career development and progression discussions throughout the learner journey.
• Support the delivery and promotion of Functional Skills through effective collaboration with specialist teams.
• Monitor learner caseloads, identifying risks to progress and implementing timely interventions.
• Lead tripartite reviews with learners and employers to evaluate progress, agree actions and maintain engagement.

Assessment and End Point Assessment Preparation

• Conduct assessment activities in accordance with awarding organisation, apprenticeship and company quality standards.
• Prepare learners for gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA) through structured preparation activities, mock assessments and portfolio reviews.
• Ensure learners are fully prepared, confident and equipped to achieve successful apprenticeship assessment outcomes.
• Ensure assessment evidence is valid, reliable and meets the requirements of awarding organisations and EPA bodies.

Additional Learning Support, Safeguarding and Inclusion

• Identify additional learning needs and implement appropriate support strategies and reasonable adjustments.
• Embed safeguarding, Prevent, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of delivery.
• Promote inclusive practice by celebrating diversity, challenging bias and ensuring representation within learning materials and activities.
