Programme & Relationship Manager; Wales & South West England

We are seeking an outstanding, proactive and diligent musician to join Future Talent as a Programme & Relationship Manager (Wales & South West). You will support gifted young musicians from low-income backgrounds, delivering impactful programmes and providing one-to-one guidance to help them develop and reach their full potential.

As Future Talent continues to grow its regional reach, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young musicians. You will be a self-starter and strong relationship builder, working closely with musicians and their families while developing a network of partners across the music and education sectors. You will help develop and deliver high-quality programmes, partnerships and opportunities for young musicians.

You will be a practising musician of any genre with experience of working with or teaching children and young people. Experience of organising music events and concerts, and an established network within the music or education sectors, would also be highly valuable.

The role involves building and maintaining partnerships with arts organisations, schools and music education hubs across Wales and the South West. Existing partners include the National Music Service of Wales, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and West of England Music & Arts.

You will join a growing team that shares responsibility for Future Talent’s equity, diversity and inclusion strategy, safeguarding and child protection, and ensuring youth voice and co-production are central to our work. The successful candidate will need to be based in Wales or the South West and able to work remotely.

The team meets online each Wednesday, with occasional visits to our central London office, which may be up to once a month or as required. The role also involves occasional evenings and weekends for events, rehearsals and mentoring, for which TOIL is available.

This is a permanent, part-time position (0.6 FTE), with an anticipated start date from November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check. Benefits include pension, 25 days’ holiday pro rata and flexible working hours.

Salary £28,000-£32,000 pro rata dependent on experience
Hybrid (office and home working)
