About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging and effective online learning experiences for higher education , operating on a fully remote basis. This role is vital in translating complex academic content into interactive and accessible digital courses. You will collaborate closely with university faculty and subject matter experts to design innovative pedagogical strategies, develop multimedia learning materials, and ensure alignment with course objectives and quality standards.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of online learning principles, proficiency in various e-learning tools, and a passion for transforming traditional education into dynamic digital formats, contributing to cutting-edge online learning initiatives from anywhere.
- Design and develop online course content and learning modules for university-level programs, ensuring high engagement and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Collaborate with faculty to translate subject matter expertise into structured, interactive online learning experiences.
- Create multimedia assets, including video scripts, interactive simulations, and engaging assessments.
- Implement best practices in instructional design, learning technologies, and accessibility standards for online education.
- Manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality guidelines.
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, specifically within higher education or online learning environments.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas).
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories, online pedagogy, and universal design for learning (UDL).
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
