Senior Math Tutor; Online​/Hybrid

About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Math Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students. This role offers a flexible schedule, blending online and in-person sessions to accommodate diverse student needs within the Cape Town area. You will focus on enhancing students' understanding of mathematical concepts, improving their problem-solving skills, and boosting their confidence. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, possesses a deep understanding of mathematics across various levels, and excels at adapting teaching methods to individual learning styles, contributing to a supportive and growth-oriented learning environment.

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in various mathematics subjects, from foundational concepts to advanced calculus.
• Develop customized lesson plans and learning materials tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Prepare students for examinations, standardized tests, and academic challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of student sessions, progress, and performance.
• Stay updated with curriculum changes and best practices in mathematics education and tutoring .

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics at a secondary or tertiary level.
• Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and pedagogical skills .
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities.
