Educational Psychologist

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and empathetic Educational Psychologist to join their dedicated support services team in Nelspruit . You will be instrumental in assessing and addressing the learning, behavioral, and emotional needs of students, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and support staff to develop effective intervention strategies. This role is vital for promoting student well-being and academic success within a supportive educational framework in Mpumalanga .

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and behavioral issues in students.
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans and therapeutic strategies to support student development.
• Provide counseling and guidance to students, parents, and educators on a range of educational and psychological matters.
• Collaborate with school teams to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
• Professional registration with the relevant South African regulatory board (e.g., HPCSA).
• Significant experience in conducting psycho-educational assessments and providing therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and mental health principles.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
