Senior Instructional Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and results-driven Senior Instructional Designer to join their distributed team, based anywhere in South Africa. This fully remote role is critical for conceptualizing, designing, and developing high-quality learning experiences for a variety of audiences. You will leverage your expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging and effective training materials, digital courses, and blended learning solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a master storyteller with a keen eye for detail, passionate about creating impactful learning journeys that drive knowledge acquisition and skill development.

• Design and develop engaging and effective e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, and blended learning solutions using industry-standard tools.
• Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create learner-centered experiences.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content, define learning objectives, and ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Create storyboards, scripts, assessments, and multimedia elements to support learning objectives.
• Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and iterate based on feedback and performance data.

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer , with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse learning solutions.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.
• Solid understanding of learning management systems (LMS) and their functionalities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
