About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Science Educator to spearhead the science department at their campus in George . This pivotal role requires a visionary educator to enhance the delivery of science education, supervise a team of science teachers, and drive curriculum innovation. You will play a key role in shaping the scientific curiosity and understanding of students, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge pedagogical practices and a strong emphasis on practical, inquiry-based learning.
This hybrid position offers the flexibility to contribute both on-campus and remotely, allowing for focused curriculum development and administrative tasks from a home office, while maintaining active engagement with students and faculty on-site.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the science curriculum across all relevant grades, ensuring it is engaging, relevant, and meets educational standards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the science teaching staff.
- Conduct regular observations and performance evaluations of science educators.
- Promote and facilitate hands-on experiments, projects, and fieldwork to enhance student understanding of scientific principles.
- Collaborate with school administration to manage departmental budgets, resources, and facility needs.
- A Master's degree in a relevant Science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and a recognized teaching qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in science education, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and implementation for various scientific disciplines.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and experience managing science lab resources.
