The Online Course Technologist maintains fully online program master courses in the LMS, reviewing course content and structure to ensure alignment with university policies and applicable federal guidelines, including accessibility requirements. This position consults with colleagues, faculty, and online program partners on LMS functionality and structure, program specifications, and course maintenance needs. The Online Course Technologist also performs updates and ongoing maintenance to master courses and verifies that courses function properly following changes.
This position may have the opportunity to work remotely, where all work is performed from an approved alternative work location. To be eligible, candidates must reside in one of the following states to be considered:
Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wyoming. Candidates in this role must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Mountain Time), providing real-time support through Zoom, chat, and email while also completing assigned duties based on priorities.

We partner with faculty, departments, and leadership to create a high-quality online learning environment for students at Boise State and around the world. This position will contribute to the development of online courses and is a part of the Course Development and Maintenance team within the eCampus Center.

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.
Essential Functions- Provide technical LMS administration and course support services for online program coordinators and faculty through phone calls, email, and personal contact.
- Provide consultations with faculty and eCampus staff related to online course and program maintenance best practices.
- Meet with faculty and program coordinators/department chairs to ensure maintained courses are kept up to date, and help ensure program-level updates and revisions are made.
- Provide eCampus staff technical support and training on features and functionality.
- Assist instructional designers and faculty with online course updates and maintenance of materials.
- Provide program and course-level context to eCampus stakeholders.
- Oversee course revisions and updates.
- May perform other duties as needed.
- Ability to quickly obtain highly functional skills in software and LMS systems, as well as be able to train others.
- Ability to apply effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively for both short-term projects and daily responsibilities.

- Excellent computer skills in Windows, Mac, and mobile (e.g., Android, iOS) platforms.
- Requires use of MS Office and Google Apps.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience and 2 years of professional experience.
